Change ... For the Better

After their initial ad's were greeted with snorts of derision by pundits and (apparently) voters alike, the Tories have come up with a newer, and in my opinion, superior advert. I haven't seen it on the TV yet, but you can go here and click on "CHANGE".

I like it, though of course, I'm rather biased. It'll be interesting to see if it gets any press.

Hat-tip to Warren Kinsella for the news re: the CPC ad. One hopes that the Party will get it on the air in short order.

(Unfortunately, despite my earlier plea, I'm still waiting for my Marxist-Leninist ad. Maybe soon!)

More later.

It was actually on during House MD last night. Good show... and with its ratings its a great place to put an ad.

The ad is definitely better.

I'd like to see some policy ones that move in that direction too.

The Quebec ads are also really good.

Liberals be informed, Learn, then vote Conservative to Allow Liberls to renew properly. Otherwise a crippled Liberal minority could kill the party just as the Social Credit party died in British Columbia.

For brilliant Liberal policy;
Google *Scamslist*

Closing the gaping holes in the public purse comes first.

The two most effective acts of government to bring that about are:

[1] Bill C-11 with Teeth. Meaning that any whistle blower must be respected and efforts by corrupt bosses to penalize a Whistle Blower will meet with prompt and severe penalties.

If Allan Cutler had been listened to regarding false invoices in Guite's office from 93 to '96, Sponsorship may have been stopped then, saving us hundreds of $Millions over the last 11 years.

[2] Individual department and ministry accounts & audit.

This very effective measure was promised by Paul Martin himself during his Grovel and Trust me speech on CBC TV.

Few heard the promise and fewer understand it so Paulie is off the hook.

I wonder if informed opposition will even press him on the issue. Certainly not a *Sexy* issue and sadly, low in priority, yet what great savings it would provide.
